Since adolescence, Erik Holmstedt (1952) photographed Malmbergets social transformation. With his camera he has followed decades of demolitions and relocations, which the population has been forced to accept as a result of mining operations. After graduating college in 1983 with a focus on photography, Holmstedt is living and working in Luleå.
